01 · The story
A sound recordist enters a vast, silent house where even his footsteps leave no echo, and finds that the silence is listening back.

02 · Original concept direction
The early visual intentions behind this world. The finished film may take the story somewhere different.
The visual grammar is architectural restraint: a room, an open doorway, an ordinary microphone. The sound design removes expected reflections one by one until a footstep feels amputated. The surveyor tests the phenomenon methodically, retaining intelligence under pressure. Chalk-white plaster and hard winter daylight make a clean 35mm frame feel inhospitable. The first true echo arrives after she stops speaking, in a voice that has learned her pauses but not her mercy. Visual direction: White-plaster architectural miniature photographed against absolute black.
An acoustic surveyor enters a condemned house where no sound returns. When her recorded voice begins answering from rooms she has not opened, she discovers the building is saving its echoes for a single terrible conversation.
