01 · The story
In a wardrobe at the end of the world, borrowed clothes carry the roles their wearers cannot escape. A woman burns the ledger that binds them, but the empty garments are already lining up for someone new.

02 · Original concept direction
The early visual intentions behind this world. The finished film may take the story somewhere different.
Compressed 75mm warehouse frames, cyan rack shadows and an enormous apricot sun. Everyday hired roles become more frightening than couture: uniforms, cheap party disguises, a ceremonial costume built from twenty empty sleeves. Nobody is physically harmed by removal; it is their borrowed authority that refuses to come off. The attendant traces the curse to a ledger where each customer gave a name they wished were theirs. She destroys the ledger and the costumes stand up without wearers, demanding someone keep playing. She takes off her apron. A frightened customer asks who will help them now, and she answers with her actual name. The vacant costumes queue politely for new identities.
A rental wardrobe starts collecting identities as late fees. A woman dressed as a judge cannot stop sentencing people; a man in a birthday clown suit no longer recognises his son. The attendant has worn the same apron for decades.
