The brief

A brand spot for Google Gemini, produced in partnership with W+K New York, that turns an ordinary 2002 Honda Civic into a cinematic hero car. The owner uploads a spec sheet and two cellphone photos, asks Gemini for an "epic commercial," and the model returns a sun-drenched coastal drive shot like a national auto campaign — affection for the everyday object, rendered with the production value usually reserved for flagship launches.

AIM produced the film in partnership with W+K New York as a study in how generative tools change the economics of personal storytelling. The conceit is intentionally small: one user, one car, one prompt. The execution treats that scale with the same craft AIM brings to global campaigns — composition, light, lens language, grade, and sound design that earn the word "epic."

Generative shotmaking was supervised against a traditional director's playbook and finished through AIM's conventional post pipeline. The result is a spot that argues for a near-future where any object, brand, or moment can be given the cinematic treatment it deserves — and where the prompt itself is the new brief.
