Do.
A late-night cherry-blossom garden the size of a city block — paper lanterns rising into a moonlit sky, scarab beetles singing into a chrome microphone, a wisteria goddess petting a lion, and a full-cast dance floor built for the chorus. Every set, every creature, every camera move blocked in AIM PREVIZ and delivered on the studio's generative stack.

The film
A song about deciding to act — staged in a night garden the size of a city block.
"Do" is the counter-punch to "Maybe." Same voice, same Catamount Recording, same noir-folk baritone — but the doubt cracks open and something in the chest decides to move. The song stops asking permission and starts making choices; the film had to do the same. Not a page in a drawer this time — a whole city block of cherry blossom, lanterns, and neon water.
The world is a hyper-real Kyoto-after-hours: a temple courtyard washed in ochre lantern-light, a canal edged in chartreuse neon, a wisteria pavilion where a lion lies still under a full moon. Brooks plays the song into it — first under a blossoming sakura, then on a rotating neon stage, then dead center in a full-cast dance number that lands on the chorus like a decision made too late to take back.
Threaded through the whole cut: a duet of iridescent scarab beetles at a chrome vintage microphone, singing the harmony line in miniature. It's a piece of world-building that could only exist through a generative pipeline — and one of the reasons the piece was blocked shot-for-shot inside AIM PREVIZ before a single render kicked off. Continuity locked across performers, palettes, lantern colour temperature, wisteria hue, and camera profile.

The film in six movements
Cut to the song
01
Threshold
A shoji screen glows. A figure in fringed white walks toward the light. The song hasn't started yet — the room has.
02
Sakura Bandstand
Brooks under a full cherry blossom, votive lanterns walled in behind him, singing the first verse straight into the lens. Solo mic, no chorus yet — the doubt still holds.
03
The Neon Canal
An FPV move down a temple canal — wisteria overhead, chartreuse LED strip in the water, a lone rowboat carrying a bride toward the shrine. The song's pre-chorus, moving.
04
The Scarab Duet
Two iridescent beetles at a chrome vintage microphone, singing the counter-line under lanterns. World-building only a generative pipeline can put on a real screen.
05
The Wisteria Goddess
A pavilion, a moon window, a lion at rest. A woman in leopard silk pours from a champagne bottle. The bridge — luxury and stillness at the same moment.
06
The Full-Cast Chorus
A neon dance floor, a bonfire, harlequin dancers on the bridge and modern ones at his flank. Brooks throws the first punch of the choreo. The song makes the choice.
Built inside
AIM PREVIZ.
A three-and-a-half-minute film with dozens of environments, two creature performers, a full dance company, and a lantern palette that had to stay consistent across every camera cut. Every shot passed through PREVIZ — script, storyboard, keyframe, 3D block, motion — before a render node touched it.
- 01 · Script → Scene Graph
- Lyric imported to PREVIZ Script. Verses resolved to environments — bandstand, canal, pavilion, dance floor — each with its own lantern palette and lens language.
- 02 · Storyboard density
- Detailed shot plans authored in PREVIZ Storyboard — 8–14 frames per environment, inheriting the film's continuity bundle across characters, lanterns, wisteria, and moon phase.
- 03 · Keyframe · Look-dev
- Hero frames staged in PREVIZ Keyframe against locked Director Style — 35mm anamorphic, warm-lantern key, chartreuse LED practicals as the film's second colour.
- 04 · CineForge 3D · Blocking
- Complex scenes — the FPV canal move, the wisteria pavilion, the dance-floor 360 — blocked in PREVIZ CineForge 3D so camera moves stay physical and repeatable.
- 05 · Director · Motion
- Motion-transfer and image-to-video runs routed through PREVIZ Director — lip-sync on Brooks, articulated beetle performance, choreography passes for the dance company.
- 06 · Finish
- Layered plates delivered into Nuke and After Effects for the finishing pass — grade, grain, lantern flicker, dance-floor light-strip animation, master out.
