A near-silent film built on one image and one horizon. Two tones only, the black of the engine, the white of the fog, and a whole story carried in the tempo of the wheels. No stations, no dialogue for long stretches, no reveal of the landscape underneath. The train is a decision the century keeps postponing.
The first premise
A black steam engine has been crossing the same fog-drowned marsh for forty years without ever arriving at a station, and the last living passenger has decided tonight is the night she gets off.
