Case study · Nescafé Frothy Latte · with Casanova
One frothy world. Three little pleasures.
Repeat, Timer, and Stache: three Nescafé Frothy Latte films balancing tactile product detail, playful performance, and a shared kitchen world. With Casanova and Carlos Tornell.
The challenge
The creative task visible in the finished work is to give one product three distinct reasons to watch. Frothy Latte needs to remain the center of attention whether the film follows a preparation loop, a couple's countdown, or a foam-moustache joke.
The creative approach
A shared visual language connects the films: sunlit kitchens, clear branded mugs, Salted Caramel packaging, and close-ups that make the foam tangible. Each concept changes the storytelling engine rather than abandoning that world. Repeat is rhythmic; Timer is relational; Stache is comic. This study analyzes the supplied final films, without inferring an undocumented production workflow.

Shared product world
The same Frothy Latte product, branded glassware, and warm kitchen language recur across the work.
01
Repeat · The pleasure loop
A fifteen-second Nescafé Frothy Latte film that turns preparation into a pleasure loop. Powder, water, a spoon, and a glass mug become the entire cast. Hot and iced servings alternate through tactile close-ups, with the froth rising into the frame again and again.
The edit returns to the same gestures with a change in temperature. Ice, condensation, and the cold pour interrupt the warm preparation, while the mug and kitchen keep the sequence coherent. The repetition makes hot and iced feel like two versions of the same small pleasure rather than two unrelated demonstrations.
02
Timer · The shared countdown
A couple, a kitchen counter, and a running phone timer. Nescafé Frothy Latte preparation becomes a small shared challenge, moving from the countdown to a generous foam swirl and the first sip. The product demonstration lands through warmth, eye contact, and playful anticipation.
The film moves between the couple and the drink instead of isolating the preparation as an instruction sequence. The spoon turns, the foam gathers, and she takes the first sip while he watches. Their exchanged looks make a simple countertop ritual feel like a conversation.
03
Stache · The texture is the joke
The first sip leaves its own punchline: a foam moustache. Stache makes Nescafé Frothy Latte's texture part of the performance, moving from a playful expression to an inside-the-glass preparation shot, a creamy spoon close-up, and a final invitation across the kitchen counter.
The preparation then changes the camera's point of view. An inside-the-mug angle puts powder and the incoming water in the foreground, with her face beyond the glass. The cut returns to the outside of the mug for the pour, then to the spoon lifting the creamy surface. Wide human moments and extreme product detail keep trading places.
